“Nostalgia is denial - denial of the painful present… the name for this denial is golden age thinking - the erroneous notion that a different time period is better than the one ones living in - its a flaw in the romantic imagination of those people who find it difficult to cope with the present.” - Paul, played by Michael Sheen.
I always liked movies that feature time-travel, but i hadn’t known it was a manifestation of my escapist tendencies.

so, did i mention i have been packing and came across many old pictures of my parents? these pictures have awkward scribbles of a teenager behind them, presumably my parents’, of course - “italy: i truly always love you” and dates, 1979, 1981 etc. did i mention about my fascination with all things old/ vintage? packing didn’t seem to be such a chore, it’s like a path to self discovery.. i saw some similarities here and there ;)

This reminds me of Ms G. That was what she always used to say. She was battling cancer then. And now, she’s making up for lost sleep. Strange, but I totally agree with her - I prolong my days by sacrificing my sleep. (My mom should read this)
PS: Are there any positive correlation between sleeping hours and longevity? Because I don’t want to shorten my lifespan in my attempts at lengthening it. :S
